The nursery rhyme "See-Saw Margery Daw" was published in London in 1765. It's about a young apprentice who didn't work very hard, so he was assigned to a new master.

The origin of "Where Are You Going To, My Pretty Maid" is more ambiguous, as it's a lesser-known rhyme.

To immortalize both poems, the Indiana Glass Company made this children's divided plate for Tiara Exclusives. It gained popularity decades ago, and many of our elder folks today remember eating off of such a plate when they were young.

7 1/2" in diameter.

The plate is $25.00. This cool history lesson is free.
