Marigold Carnival Glass Bowl

Fenton Marigold Carnival Bowl

Mom has a bowl like this, but she has no idea what it is. She thinks she got it from her mother, but can't recall. All she knows is it's been on her china hutch forever and she likes the pretty pattern.

It's difficult to precisely date these bowls because Fenton didn't mark them at all prior to 1970. Why would they? They couldn't know that what started out to be cheap give-away items at carnivals in the early 1900's would turn into sought-after works of art. But such is what they have become.

This bowl is certainly vintage and may even be antique. The marigold color and "Peacock and Grape" pattern were popular 100 years ago. This one is in perfect condition, so clear a spot in your cabinet for it!

9" in diameter.
